Banned Books Week: Books I've Loved That Have Been Banned and/or Challenged
In honor of Banned Books Week, I wanted to recommend some banned and/or challenged books I have read. If you have any you would add, please feel free to talk about them in the comments. I feel the more we can encourage people to read these books, the better!

Hmm, I didn't realize some of these books were band...lol.
ReplyDeleteSome of them are frequently challenged rather than banned--I definitely had no idea some of these (especially Eleanor and Park!) had been challenged at all!
DeleteI had no idea Eleanor and Park was banned! I absolutely loved that book. I also loved Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. I remember reading it everyday as a kid!
ReplyDeleteEleanor and Park, from what I could tell, is one of the ones that has been frequently challenged rather than banned (it completely shocks me that anyone would challenge it!). I loved Scary Stories too!
